The new location marks an important milestone in Savvis’ European expansion strategy. The company has made significant investments – including this new base in Frankfurt – to capitalise on rapidly growing opportunities to deliver managed hosting and cloud services to enterprise clients across Europe. Savvis now has a network of more than 50 global data centres.
Badoux, who has spent more than 25 years in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, brings a wealth of experience working with multinational clients in northern Europe, particularly in the financial services industry. He joins Savvis’ senior leadership team from euNetworks, where he held positions in sales and general management. At Savvis, his responsibilities include driving growth in the German business and overseeing a team dedicated to servicing local clients.
“We have a strong value proposition for clients in Germany as well as multinational clients who need world-class hosting and cloud services in the region, including on-demand access to enterprise IT suites such as SAP, Oracle and web services,” Badoux said. “The flexibility, agility and speed-to-innovation enabled by our services give our customers tremendous competitive advantage.”
“We are delighted to have Donald join the international management team,” said Neil Cresswell, EMEA managing director, Savvis. “Donald will be an excellent ambassador for Savvis in the German market, which demands the highest-quality IT services rooted in engineering excellence – attributes for which Savvis is well-known.”
Cresswell continued: “With our presence in Frankfurt and Donald’s expertise, we can deliver strategic value-added services through in-depth local market knowledge that will help ensure our success in the region.”
The Frankfurt office opening enables Savvis to offer its full range of leading IT infrastructure outsourcing solutions in the German market, with a focus on strategic industries such as finance, retail, software, media, automotive and the public sector. Also key to the new Frankfurt location will be the availability of the Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Centre (VPDC) enterprise cloud service.
