Pulsant strengthens position as HP CloudAgile Partner

Builds on enhanced Hewlett Packard (HP) offerings to drive more competitive cloud solutions for SMEs.

Date: 24 May 2012

Pulsant has joined the HP CloudAgile Partner Programme, placing it at the leading edge of cloud technology. Pulsant can now access the very latest HP server innovations, new business models and higher-margin services.

Combined with Pulsant’s own proven cloud solutions and capabilities, joining the HP CloudAgile Partner Programme will facilitate even more reliable and resilient private, public and hybrid cloud services specifically targeted at cost-sensitive, performance focused SMEs.

The announcement further strengthens Pulsant’s relationship with HP, whose high-performance servers and 3PAR Storage are used extensively throughout the company’s eight UK based, enterprise class datacenters. This includes Scotland, where Pulsant is currently the only CloudAgile Partner represented.

Mark Howling, CEO at Pulsant, comments, “We are delighted to be part of HP’s innovative new programme which will help us to deliver even more reliable, secure cloud solutions based on HP technology. Many of our customers operate in the mid-market where cost and performance are crucial to maintain competitive advantage. As an HP CloudAgile partner, we can now make the design and roll-out of cloud services even easier, faster and more financially compelling for SMEs striving to manage their data more effectively. With the best HP technology at the right price, we can extend our optimised cloud resources to a broader customer base.”

HP predicts that the worldwide cloud services business will reach $143 billion by 2013 and it is helping to fuel this using CloudAgile to invest in key partners across the globe.

"Connecting and collaborating with service providers like Pulsant will help us to drive the uptake of cloud,” states Andrew Duce, head of the service provider business at HP. “Through CloudAgile we can provide them with access to unique services and the skills needed to drive this evolution as well as the technology to address key areas of business development – building differentiated cloud offerings and managing, governing and securing the entire environment. In addition, they will also benefit from priority access to system enhancements, such as dual bursting capability for more efficient peak workload handling, thereby providing tangible cloud benefits that can be passed on to new and existing customers.”
