Datum has appointed Matt McCluney as Account Director for the company’s new build datacentre, located in the high security QinetiQ Cody Technology Park in Farnborough. Mr McCluney is an experienced IT Sales professional who has been operating in and around data centres and IT services business since the early 1990’s.
With a background in data centre monitoring, hardware and software maintenance, managed services, hardware provision, hosting and colocation, Mr McCluney is well equipped for his role at Datum, where he will be responsible for attracting new clients directly, as well as through partners, brokers and consultants. Reporting directly to Managing Director Dominic Phillips, Mr McCluney’s remit will also focus on understanding a client’s needs, and developing a tailored solution to fit.
Prior to his role at Datum, Mr McCluney held a position of Account Director at SSE Datacentres where he focused on attracting corporate clients to the company’s new colocation facility. Previously, Mr McCluney also held roles at Cantono Data Centre Services, Computer Solutions & Finance (CSF) and Computer Solutions & Finance (CSF).
